Thanks so much for sharing this nuanced take on AI in music. I’m still forming my opinions on it, just as I am in my own design career. When I design AI/agent-forward experiences we always talk about the importance of “human in the loop”, and I think this is a really impactful example of it.
Without a human in the loop, it almost always flops in some way! I have hundreds of examples of that from producing this project alone. My opinion is also “in motion,” but being hands on with it helps me decide one way or the other if/how it will live within my creative ecosystem.
I love the concept of artists returning to their creations for insight/perspective and new creative direction. It’s like viewing them as a storehouse that new art can be born out of.
